Keep Moving

CrossFit has gotten a reputation as being a ‘cult’ over the past few years, and I get it, the people who love it won’t shut up about it. Most of the things you hear involve people talking about there new personal records or the time they got on some weird girl named workout.

As much fun as all that stuff is, I think the real reason people become so ‘obsessed’ with CrossFit is that it changes you on a personal level, not just a physical one. As you endure the soul crushing workouts, you learn a great deal about yourself as a person and what you’re REALLY capable of and that mentality starts to seep into other aspects of your life. One of the things you begin to learn is that no matter how long or difficult the workout is, all you have to do is KEEP MOVING! If you keep moving, pushing, and fighting, it doesn’t matter the pace, you will succeed and you will accomplish your goal.

This is one of the biggest lessons that has transferred into my personal and professional life. Running my own company, not a single day goes by that I don’t encounter a new challenge to deal with – most of which I’ve never had to deal with before. Legal issues, finding funding, putting together demo videos, designing business cards – it’s an endless challenge. But what I’ve learned is that all I have to do is keep pushing forward no matter how hard the task or how badly I want to throw my hands in the air and give up. I started my company and I started CrossFit because I know what my goals are and where I want to go in life, and no matter how battered or beaten I feel, all I have to do is keep moving and I will succeed.
